Built in 1825, the Irish, Roman Catholic Rectory is a wooden one-and-a-half storey, Maritime Gothic Revival residence with triple Gothic cross-gables on the front façade and a central entranceway. The front of the house is the historic piece of architecture and has been joined with a second structure, including a modern kitchen, French doors to the swimming pool and one garden area with a breezeway connecting the large, 15 year old, two story cedar clad barn/garage. There are two large upstairs bedrooms in the front of the house, each with wood paneled raised ceilings with beams. There is a bedroom and large studio in the second upstairs section of the house. The studio has several windows and a roof gable with windows to let in light and air. This is a great working space! The formal living room to the right of the entry is spacious and the dining room to the left has a large crystal chandelier with a commanding mural on the ceiling painted when the home was the Catholic Rectory. There are two family rooms on the main floor open to the kitchen and there is space in the kitchen for a table as well as an eating area off of the kitchen island. The kitchen area has French doors accessing the swimming pool and another door accessing the fenced garden.
